Just bought the 2024 upgrade and I can confirm the following bugs:

  • Directly in front of the plane in-flight, zero engine sound, you can just hear wind.

  • I started a flight in the air, and the pitot cover was still on, so had no airspeed indicator.

  • Way less of a concern, but while I’m reporting the stuff I discovered in the first 5 minutes of flight, the defaullt livery preview’s futzed up on the livery screen:

Oh, wait, I chose that livery, and that livery’s all screwed up, period:

Other liveries are fine and look good. You just can’t start on the runway or in the air due to the pitot cover bug.

Oh dear…. well tested then! :person_facepalming:

Dare I ask… is it still like Buckaroo with the ground handling and braking behaviour?

I tried that livery yesterday and everything worked fine. From what I see it seems like a partially failed installation problem. You could try uninstalling the sf260, launch the simulator (*without flying), exit the simulator, install the sf260 and see if it works this time. If the problem persists it could be related to a conflict with some other add-on. But that is a sneaky problem: I had a system crash with the sf-260 because using a specific optimization program for my HP computer (and supplied by the company) a supposedly “neutral” option was creating problems. Disabled that and everything went back to normal and I must say that in msfs2024 the sf260 behaves much better and is more accurate in the operation of the previous version. Good luck with the livery.

I also have the pitot cover still in place when spawning “ready to fly”.
Also there is no pilot avatar visible in external view (msfs 2024 SU1).

Any news on the FS2020 avionic update SF260 ?

Hello.
I’m on the Sim update 2 beta on Xbox.
Just purchased the 2024 version and the front landing gear does not retract.

Where did you get the SF-260? Might be the packaging of the version on OrbX, which is where I got my upgrade. There’s another version of that livery that’s fine, but this is the default one on install.

I removed it, ran FS2024, then re-downloaded it, and it’s the only thing in my Community folder. So it’s definitely not on my end. (Zero issues with any other planes.)

And a few folks have confirmed the pitot cover bug.

The good news is the handling on the ground, and the flight model, are all much better. Overall, it’s a really nice upgrade, and these are the only issues I’ve found.

Easy enough to select a working livery, but I’d like to have the option to start on the runway or in the air, which will require a fix on that pitot cover issue.

I updated it from SimMarket. I always prefer cold and dark starts and indeed if you forget to clear the pitot tube (correctly) there is no speed measurement. For the rest the plane has improved a lot, both because anything that can fly in msfs2024 works better than in msfs2020 (the “24” requires loading less stuff from the hard disk and therefore if the connection is good the frame rate is higher), and from the fact that some general improvements have been made, in addition to the better behavior on the ground, also the leanness of the mixture as a function of the altitude seems to be more consistent with reality, but that could be an effect of the new code of the “24”.

OMG,
That livery should not have been there. This is the internal model of the version EA still under development, in fact the textures you see are incomplete. I apologize for the inconvenience just do not use that livery.

Hi, how to get rid of the ice on the windshield? Defrost or vent do not seem effective.

Hello,
no de-icing system on windshield (just for engine air intake).
If you are on icing conditions try to descent at lower altitude if possible.

Unfortunately, it seems to be the default livery…

Murphy is pretty amazing at his work!

(Murphy’s law in case that’s not clear…)

Thanks! Let me congrat you about the SF-260! So much fun to fly it!

Yep, Murphy constantly continues to be right :frowning:
