Sim Unusable (UK) today 6 Feb

Whats going on ? After setting up a flight and pressing FLY the cockpit view drops to the floor an spins round and round. The Sim is then unusable. Restarting, changing aircraft, location makes no difference, as does clearing the cache. Must be a server problem I guess. Do MS work weekends or am I stuck with this untill Monday ?..Everything worked fine yesterday, I have not used the Sim since becoming exasperated with Sim Update 2. No scenery spikes after installation of the Mappamundi Glitchfix, so I flew the Baron to Monument Valley.
Can we hope that the annoying and unneccessary end of flight logbook popup screen might disappear with the next dev update ?

The game doesn’t really run “online” everything is done client side.
Only online aspect is speed and position updates to the server for other people to take and render in their clients.

Did you do anything to your files system in the last 24 hours? Or do you need to update drivers etc?
Try removing everything in your community folder and reload the game for a check is the only other thing you could do…

Since the camera is dropping and spinning it sounds like you have a controller input that’s moving the camera. Maybe check your axis bindings. Do you have a different controller plugged in? Xbox controller? Try unplugging everything but the keyboard and mouse if nothing else.

It’s probably something simple, good luck :slightly_smiling_face:

Remove all your content from the Community folder and try (you can just rename it, MSFS will then make an empty new one).
If you are using a controller to change views, unplug it and confirm the controller isn’t the issue.

My first thoughts were the same as Mustang242Sqn… sounds like a controller is repeatedly being pressed. I’ve had similar things over the years. Usually a joystick or gamepad that is plugged into the pc has something leaning on it or a button being pressed

Check to see if vr had been enabled. I had it temporarily switch on at the start of a flight even though I don’t have an VR equipment attached.

Why did I not think of that ? ! You are quite right…the XBOX controller I use for the Showcase camera was the culprit. Thanks for your help !
