So I see from searching, this has happened with other updates. This turned out, for me, to be no-biggy.
Initially it said 68GBs - I was worried. But I did the only thing I could do. With shaking hand - I clicked install…
It turned out that it installed 687kbs (or so) and it was done. It still shows v1.17.3.0.
The only thing that comes to mind - the last thing I did last night, after my sim session, I updated the (Nvidia) display driver. Probably unrelated but bears mention…
Same… just did a large update.
Me too. Update already done and sim updated to 1.17.3.0. It’s currently installing a further 499mb update.
What gives? It doesn’t appear to be a hot fix otherwise surely the version number would have changed.
Just had to do it as well, but it only took less than a minute so that was a relief, don’t get why that happened though.
Same here, Sim is running, no matter.
I was hoping it may fix the bleed-out at the bottom of the Marketplace-Creators list…
Apparently not…
I also had 499mb update today. I didn’t see all the packages loading but it seemed to be liveries that were being updated. Would be nice to know what is for rather than just showing the last world update notes.
I did this update and it took the liberty to install those aweful Aviator’s Club livery that I had not installed previously. Strange.
I had a minor (700kB) update as well. I just checked the changed files (by date). It seems to be something within the Asobo VFX material library:
I did have the same problem
Thank you - I wasn’t looking for such a “specific” topic title
@XTCQuinn…yeah, thanks for helping out…
I had a 499mb update as well. Went flying this evening and the sim CTD’s after a minute or 15. Did two flights and both ended in a CTD. Wonder if it is related.
Everything was working perfectly for me. Clean install. Install to 1.17.3.0. Then it installed the extra 499MB 1.17.3.0 and I’ve been having issues and CTD.
I haven’t had any issues. I use Addons Linker - deactivated all my addons, installed this ‘update(?)’ , reactivated addons and all is fine…
Don’t forget - if you’re using ‘Rolling Cache’ to dump it and rerun it to update that data…
