Sim no longer starts up, It just stays on the Piper Malibu splash screen and the “syncing data” legend and the rolling dots just play and play. What is going on here???

Moved where??? I can’t find it. What in the world???
I eventually did, but I replied to the notice that was up by my picture in the upper right. I would have expected many replies with much advice, but none… Maybe I am the first to have this, but it Googled like crazy so it is apparently widespread. Kills the whole program. Looks like XP 12 for now, maybe forever since I can’t get updates if I can’t get into the sim itself. Oh Well!

Got it working again, and I have no idea how. The only thing different that I did this time was to stop and start that thing called gaming services (whatever that is???) in the ctrl-alt-delete menu. Does anyone know if this sort of thing recurs regularly?
For the MS Store version, gaming services is the main provider; or think of “hub” that connects MSFS to Xbox servers.
If you say so I must accept that. It is made clear in no other forum or area that I have seen before. I know a great deal more about flying airplanes than I do about computers; and the possibly sad reality is that to run any of the modern flight simulations, one needs a great deal of computer expertise across a broad area (which would include some of the inner workings of Windows, another subject about which I know little other than how to turn on the computer!). I am grateful to those of you who do apparently have degrees in computer science, for the support you provide!
Having said that, I wonder how I might communicate to MS or Asobo or whoever wants to know such things, about this “syncing” situation, which I regard as a bug of the first order of magnitude… Thus far, at least, this is the closest thing to an Asobo or MS sponsored forum that I have come across.
