Up till now the sim has been working perfectly. This morning it simply won’t start after clicking on the icon as usual, nothing happens at all. I’ve tried restarting the computer but still nothing. Anyone got any ideas why this might be happening?
My brother in Australia just messaged me here in England. I tried and got a start up error saying content can’t be reached. First problem I have encountered.
The problem is their end as it’s just told me not singed into x box live, it’s worked 2nd time.
Seems to be them not us lol
I’m in Australia also, as far as I know I’m signed in to my MS account so maybe MS has decided Australians can’t use the sim any more …
I’ll try tomorrow and see what happens.
I do not seem to have any issues in New Zealand.
May I suggest logging out and back into any Xbox related applications on your computer.
As far as I’m aware I don’t have any xbox related applications. Also I’ve restarted the PC twice so this should have logged me out of pretty much anything. Then again, this is MS so who knows …
I’ve also tried to run the sim as administrator but absolutely nothing happens. I haven’t installed anything at all on the PC since I last used the sim so, theoretically, nothing should be interfering with it.
OK, an update:
Today I went through all the Win 10 security options, etc., and found nothing obviously wrong, also went through the Malwarebytes options, no issues there.
So, I turned the PC off completely and went and got some coffee. Came back, turned on the PC then started MSFS. This time it actually started and is now downloading the latest update, hopefully it will start up and work OK now. I was on the point of uninstalling and reinstalling the thing, no big deal really, I don’t have any third party stuff installed as yet.
I still have no idea at all why it wouldn’t work for two days and now does. I can only conclude it was something at the MS end of things.
