SimAir.io Alternative

I’ve been using simair.io for a while, simply because it was there, it was super simple and it did exactly what I wanted: Track my flights and provide a link to the specific flight tracking log.

But now, it seems to be gone, I’m not sure what happened or if it is coming back.

But does anyone know a good alternative that has these features:

  1. Tracks all flights - quietly
  2. Shows a list of your (previous) flights
  3. Shows them on a map with altitude graph etc
  4. Allows you to provide a public link to that flight

I’ve found some stuff online, but most seem to be related to virtual airlines and require flight plans and such which seems like a hassle.

Or if the simair.io developer needs some help and / or funding that would also peak my interest.

Hi @Monkfishman3086,

Null (the developer of SimAir.io) posted this on his Discord server a few weeks ago:

Thanks,

I thought it was something like that. Understandable too. Even hands-off side projects are hard to maintain, and this one is probably a bit more involved. It sucks up time and resources.

Hi,
These are the two main ones what I know about: Volanta and SimToolkitPro. I personally use Volanta, not because it’s better it’s just a personal preference.
Here are the links for them, so you can compare:

Thanks, I’m trying out Volanta!

It tracked my flight correctly. Only a bit unfortunate I think you cannot see any details for the flight without being logged in:

At first it wasn’t seeing my flight, but when I started the sim first and then Volanta and then it picked it up.

Yes, you have to be logged in to see other people’s flights.

I can’t say much about how it is tracking automatically, because I always manually start Volanta, but it’s always good to check that it’s tracking you.
