Simbrief integration G3000

With the latest integration of Simbrief into the G3000 (SF50) we can now import flight plans directly from Simbrief into the G3000–way cool! However, unless you import that FP from the map screen, ATC has no idea what you’re doing. Does anyone know of a work-around to make this work? Otherwise, I guess the only real benefit is to those using VATSIM or some other “live” ATC–which no doubt is a big benefit over manually entering them.

Why not send the flight plan to ATC (from the map screen) like you would in the real world?

No workaround needed

I can certainly do that. But I was asking if there was a way to do it in reverse. In real life you file the flight plan but then you still have to load it into your avionics in the plane (similar to importing it from Simbrief). Since there is no way (that I’ve found) to file IFR from inside the plane, I guess doing it from the map screen is the only way for now. So as I was saying, if you want to use the in-game ATC, this new feature is kind of useless for now.

Sometimes, and I don’t know if there’s some trigger needed or if it’s just randomly bugged, you will get a “Request IFR Clearance” option via ATC when you’re on the clearance or tower freq after you have loaded in a fight plan. But it can just as easily disappear for unknown reasons, so it’s not a reliable method.

There is nothing stopping you from loading the Simbrief plan into ATC and then loading into the plane and loading the Simbrief plan into the aircraft.

Wait, how do you load Simbrief flight plan into ATC? I could only think of manually inputting waypoints on the map.

Pick the aircraft + stand.
Start from Cold&Dark
Then enter the flight plan manually in to the gps correctly from the simbrief output.

What I do on Xbox if the Aircraft didn’t include the addin

I’m flying TBM930 with G3000 and I don’t see where the problem is !
On PC Start Simbrief
Fill your flight PLN
Save it on any PC folder
Start MSFS
Down the window you have Load/Save in the Menu
Load flight plan from PC folder
Start flight
your flight pln is loaded in G3000 and ATC is waiting for your IFR clearance request

Exactly. I usually adjust the plan after loading in the map windows so I start cold and dark at a parking stand.

Yes, I know this…and it works great. I was simply asking about doing it another way, using the new Simbrief integration into the G3000 itself, NOT into the map screen.

If you’ve exported the Simbrief FP in FS2020 format using the Simbrief downloader, save it to any folder on your PC, then on the map screen select “more” at the bottom, then “load/save” and you can import your FP directly.

Alright, an extra step needed :joy:

I have a Navigraph subscription and use Simbrief. I have the charts integrated into the G3000 but for the life of me I can’t get the Simbrief option to work in the TBM930. It does not show up in the MFD. I have installed the Navigraph plugins via the hub. Have I missed a vital step?
