I tried it out today, I like it!
That’s really great improvement both as design and functionality. Congrats and thank you to the team.
I also noticed under user guide there is a great source for operational flight plan. It just explains all data in the plan when you hoover your mouse on a section. I don’t know it was there before this update. If so please ignore.
It was there, but not sure if folk were too aware of it. It was great when I found it - was finally able to understand all the jargon of the OFP and features of the planner. Thanks for highlighting it!
The new Simbrief Planner & Simbrief Downloader works great.
But, the Flight Plan is not correct in the CJ4 AAU1.
FS2020 - 1.30.12.0
CJ4 AAU1
Simbrief Planner - Created Flight Plan
Simbrief Downloader - Downloaded to my FS2020 folder
Flight Plan downloaded into my folder:
C:\Users\userid\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
FS2020 Load of the Simbrief Flight Plan
CJ4 AAU1 FMC
The flight Plan is automatically loaded into the CJ4 and ready to fly via the Auto Pilot.
Error.
The flight does not go to KEWR runway 22R as defined in the Simbrief Planner.
This is nothing to do with simbrief itself. It is how MSFS world map manages the upload to an FMC (and not just the CJ4 AAU1).
This has been an issue from year dot. Not just with imported routes -even routes created in the World Map planner may load up incorrectly with duplicate SID/STAR waypoints or incorrect transitions. Or use seemingly random USR waypoints (it will do this if the route is specified as VFR on the World Map)
In the CJ4 if you specified the landing runway in the World Map, it should prepopulate the arrival runway in DEP/ARR. But not always. Again though - nothing to do with SB itself.
