Simbrief route error

Does anyone know why these errors appear? I’m on most recent AIRAC cycle and used “Find Route”.

I just checked Navigraph charts and on the latest AIRAC EDEGA does not exist.

It does if you use AIRAC 2202. but not 2204:

I’m curious why it doesn’t use the latest AIRAC cycle to find the route.

Hello,

this is what I sugested in some other similar thread, in case of use some Navigraph generated route you need also have Simbrief set on same AIRAC.

It will if you have a Navigraph subscription. It did for me, I just went back through previous versions till the error disappeared:

I couldn’t find anything for “MIC” at all.

But then why is it picking up invalid waypoints from some previous cycle instead of the current 2204? I do have subscription.

MIC didn’t exist in any of the versions I have access to. You departure was from EKCH? What was your destination? I want to see what route it chooses for me.

destination is LEBL

Ah, I guessed LEGE.

These are the routes I have suggested to me. No MIC in any of them.

In the top right corner of simbrief is “Update AIRAC” click on that and show us a screenshot. With a subscription you can change which one is active.

You are right. If you don’t accept the suggested routes, which are all valid, and instead use “Find Route”, it gives you a broken one.

That was my initial question

Assuming just a glitch in Navigraphs Database. Can just remove them and recalculate or use one of the other routes.

Shoot them a message with it I’m sure they’ll clean it up.

If you manually remove MIC, and EDEGA, then the route is valid. It might be worth sending that to their support staff. I’ll have a play with some other airports that are nearby, at both ends, and see if they go wrong too.

It looks like its not the only one. I just tried EGLL to LERS. There was no automatic suggested route chosen, and all the ones in the list failed, until I went back to AIRAC 2105, and then only one of them worked:

Really if I see that Simbrief generated (sugested) route it looks like a joke (I mean completelly not as Airac DB mistakes)…

Simply EDEGA isn’t on actual Navigraph DB as I see now (did check to be sure).

Sure looks like a Simbrief bug and this is not the first time I’ve seen this error. Makes me wonder if they are working on it OR if they even know about this perennial issue.

I do my FPL everytime with Navigraph or via real life FIRs main pages that shows actual AIRAC data,

do some changes of course in case I need them but only copy it to Simbrief and generate it to B787 Heavy Division as I use it now frequently for tests because it use import from Simbrief. No Simbrief sugested FPL at any other chance, especialy on Vatsim. This I see frequently on Vatsim what jokes can Simbrief do, especially if user doesn’t understand to this problematic and only copy that FPLs to Vatsim DB. My luck I’m not ATC hehe
