I’m making a plan in simbrief. Adding the plan to mcdu. But in the flight plan, where are the sid and star breaks. I have to fly out in a straight line. And turn 180 degrees to reach the desired point. This is only when I fly around America. There are no such problems in other countries. I fly A320 v.2 A321 inibulds Xbox
Moved out from Sim Update 4 Beta | MSFS 2024 since a support question, not beta related.
You have to look at the available plans for your route when using Simbrief.
A good many of them do not have sids or stars included.
Some available plans in Simbrief do include them.
Those that don’t will require you to add them yourself if there are published sids and stars available for the airports/runways in use.
I looked. In simbrief, there is a sid TIPPN3. And in the mcdu simulator itself, there is such a sid. I select it in mcdu, but there is a gap on the map
That will occur in real life as well.
Assuming you clear all the spaces and discontinuities in the MCDU, does the SID in this case show up in the MCDU?
Did you click on the LSK for the departure airport in the MCDU and select the runway and sid?
Likewise with the arrival airport star?
Yes. I selected the runway and sid in mcdu. The gap is already in navigraht on the map. I tried other sid and runways. It’s the same. I don’t know why this is happening. It’s specifically in America. I fly a lot in Europe and Asia, where everything is fine. It’s also fine in South America.
Do you have a navigraph subscription?
Hi. TIPPN3 is a vectored departure, common in the US. Unlike those SID’s you have used to seeing in Europe, Russia etc (hello MTS RUS), where they lead you all the way to your first waypoint enroute - the vectored departures in the U.S. do not have a specified “first” segment…instead it is mostly runway heading then ATC vectors to…in your case RORRY waypoint.
Yes, of course. I create a flight plan in simbrief and then import it into the simulator. There are no problems in other countries.
Very good point @AFJ777, I should have looked for that!
If the above doesn’t provide the answer, and given that you are familiar with the Airbus and programming the MCDU, this could be related to a Navigraph issue.
The sim’s stock nav data, which is not navigraph and I believe is based on NavBlue data, is more in depth in European countries.
Navigraph, which is based on Jeppesen, is more US oriented.
Simbrief uses Navigraph, but requires a subscription to that service.
If this is the case, and you have a Navigraph subscription, do you update the sim and your addons with the current Navigraph data?
I play on xbox. I don’t know how to update on xbox. Airac in simbrief is constantly updated.
Thank you. I didn’t know about this. I’ll have to research it.
Thanks
yeah, I think it was that “gap” that bothered Pavios. The departure procedure is explained on the chart itself. In real life, Pavios, you’d have ATC vectoring you nicely to RORRY after departure, but in the sim, it may look a little bizarre (not sure if you fly online or with the default ATC), especially if you are not familiar with the airspace around the airport. So, yeah, something to be aware of specifically in the U.S., some SIDs do have that “gap” and you just vector yourself (or, if flying online, expect vectors from human ATC if there is a controller) to the first waypoint. Keep an eye on the “Top altitude” on the chart, set it as your initial climb altitude, depart runway heading, then make a turn yourself and DCT to the first waypoint.
Ok, Xbox is for sure a limiting factor.
Simbrief will have issues when used with an Xbox, as the sim’s data is a) slightly different than Navigraph’s and b) Simbrief does not update itself with the latest nav data unless you subscribe to Navigraph.
So what you are ending up with is flight plans created with out of date nav data, combined with the differences between the two suppliers.
Some of the bigger differences with updated nav data are correct names of sids and stars.
These are commonly updated, with names such as TRYON1 being updated in the real world and called TRYON2.
When this occurs, the sim will not have the corresponding data and this issue will happen.
I have a Navigraht subscription. But if I play on the xbox airac in the simulator doesn’t update automatically, I’m right? Because on the xbox I myself can’t update Airac myself. I have a question. And how is the airac updated in the simulator on the xbox?
That 's a current limitation of Navigraph, it can’t as yet update the sim on Xbox.
What that will do is lower the chances of differing nav data, as at least both the sim and Simbrief will be current, albeit from different sources.
Most of the time you shouldn’t have too many issues.
The sim itself updates nav data each cycle.
Thank you very much
