Simbrief vs ingame atc

started using simbrief and on the flightplan sometimes the departure/arrival airport are opposite to what the atc in the game tell me to take off and land from :S so then my simbrief flight plan kind of feels void?

Do you have the latest ariac cycles in simbrief?

I have no navigraph abo. I use simbrief but with outdated navigraph cycles.
I type in my simbrief route manually in the fmc.
Then call the atc and it use my route then.

But is this correct? I don’t know. In future i will make a navigraph abo, if there where payware Airliners in future.

yeah i dont know what the ariac cycles is but i manually input my route and then contact atc and they tell me to use a different runway completely lol

But you can choose in atc another runway for takeoff.

The arrival runway, i don’t know.

yeah i tried, they gave me the choice of 2 others but they were both the opposite side, for example my simbrief said runway 25r and atc wanted 6l 6r 7r etc

Ah, ok.
This happens not to me yet, sorry.
I have not much airtime in the sim :innocent:

Me neither very new to flight sims

Perhaps, because of the wind?
Simbrief i think don’t know the actual wind.

The ATC I believe assigns your departure runways based off of current winds (though doesn’t seem to be that way when changing arrivals). Often times it’s better to simply contact them after getting airborne if you really want the ATC experience.

Assigned runways might be different due live weather quirks. There are differences between real life METAR, which SimBrief considers when planning, and MSFS global weather prediction. It is generally roughly similar if live weather is working. So most of the time the arrivals and departures should match. But sometimes weather gets completely broken, yielding a radically different result.

In any case, if you want to follow the exact plan, export the SimBrief flight plan as .PLN format and load it in to the sim. The Departure runway will be fixed, no matter what the weather is in the sim.

Selecting a gate for departure from drop down menu does not trigger a route re-calculation. But if you select the gate by clicking on the map, and then selecting set as departure, that one does.

The arrival and approach might be shown as automatic. If you try to select a specific approach, the waypoints may dramatically change, as the route will be re-calculated dynamically. Keep those as automatic, and let ATC assign you one along the route. If live weather is working it usually assigns the same approach. If it does not, request your preferred approach then.
