memory, is way underpowered for you system. run the sfc, and dism especially. the dism will sort you out
You mean the 5600 speed? I have been thinking of upgrading to 64GB 6400 Corsair Dominator, but wasn’t sure it would make any real world difference. Do you think it will?

I can tell you 100% it will. bigtime. if you can afford do, but first get rid of your corruption 
but dominator. yo, look at the CL vs the bandwidth. use this math to pick your kit. Take the CL multiply by 2000 then divide by the bandwidth. thats your kit 
you want hynix 1st, the maker of your IC, and the lowest number for that math, ps. g. skill has the fastest memory bar none. all the top records are on it

The G Skill set is cheap too, only £214 vs £272 for the Corsair Dominator.
I don’t really have an option though, it would have to be Corsair Dominator. I have an all Corsair build and my iCue RGB theme relies on the Dominator’s RGB. I don’t want to mess up the visuals of my build so I would get another Dominator set regardless. Probably not understandable to people who don’t care about RGB and case looks, but its critical to me lol!

I just did the scan now. My D drive, that has MSFS on it had no errors but I got the following with the C Drive

Is that a hardware failure or just a software corruption?

Ok I’ll try MSFS again tomorrow, hopefully all good! If it still crashes does that mean the problem is most likely with the sim?

bro, the problem is always this sim. thats another story. but you should be able to fly ctd free. Corruptions on you main drive, is… bad m’kay, but sorted. run that memtest

also you’re on intel. on amd’s errors will for spring in one hour. Don’t hate me, run again occt 6 hours memory. yes, and the memtest. lets get this nailed. those corruptions came from somewhere. But we have to be sure, yes it points at RAM. But we are doing the tests.

Tried it quickly after the UFC. Unfortunately crashed again, with the exact same access violation code and fault bucket ID as before 
Guess I’ll have to hope SU13 next month fixes it…

A potential development. After playing with it most of the afternoon and getting the same constant CTD with the same fault code, I ran it in safe mode. It seems to work fine in safe mode. Does that point to a third party add on?
So you haven’t tried running with all community content removed before?
What other background apps that connect to FS are you using? Plug-ins that use SimConnect can be quite flaky.

I’m not sure to be honest. I thought I had but maybe not. Just spent a couple hours in safe mode trying to make it crash. I kept entering and exiting VR, closing flights, creating a new one from the map screen then cancelling that and doing different activity flights.
Was rock solid no issues at all.
This has to be good news, now I just need to figure what third party add on is causing the issue…
Prior to the CTDs I used to use SimEFB and Sky4Sim, but I haven’t used either since June, trying to eliminate these crashes.
