I am here to request simplified versions of the Study level planes, I am surprised there is not an option that comes with these planes to fly them with the settings of the default planes.
I know it’s not easy to manage a study level, especially when you use FS in between. But there are many good tutorials on YouTube from several real world pilots who explain the matter very well. After a few times of watching and using them in the background, while in the sim it’s very easy and quick to set up for a great experience.
Kind regards.
Hi,
Just for clarification, which study-level planes are you talking about?
You could always use the AI co-pilot to do the difficult work
How about an option I am not asking for you all to suffer but since they dont offer a refund on these planes it would be nice that I could fly the ■■■■ things for once. given how expensive they are. Besides where did you get the idea that I wanted no study level planes? Did I say that?
A-310, CRJ, PMDG DC-6 and 737. You would think that they would make an option to fly these planes in either mode.
I already put in a flight plan when I set up the flight why would I have to put it in again when I get into the plane, There is no option to use the default flight plan.
Thanks for getting back to me!
Just as a heads up, Wishlist is for first-party only. Since the A310 was released by Microsoft (even though it was made by iniBuilds), this topic can stay here, but any requests regarding PMDG and Aerosoft can go in the Aircraft category. Thank you!
Yes so long as you get simbreef to communicate with the sim, if not forget it. I cant get the a310s trottles to even realise that my honeycomb has a thrust reverse detent, I have recalibrated on the tablet in the plane 100 times and it still does not work. The ADRs did not aline even after sitting for half an hour. I cant get a flight plan into the fms. and 100 other problems with each and every other study level plane I have. I watched the videos and nothing works
Well PMDG’s respnse was to remove my key from the plane and deny me access to their opperations center. Humm Seems their custormer service is lacking.
Negative. The ops center went down for everyone. Here’s how to fix it:
You can always use SimBrief for free at first and get a subscription for Navigraph at a future point. I had some issues setting my Throttle as well, but a little research, youtube and trial-and-error got ot solved - now it works after a complete reset and recalibration. The default flightplan setup at the start of the sim doesn’t enter anything, you’ll need to either download it via the FMC (Fenix A320) or manually enter - but that’s not as difficult as it may seem at first. Patience is the secret ingredient to get this working.
Feel free to ask questions, I’m sure the community will gladly help you. But, the first step is on you. All the best.
Kind regards.
Well, study level planes need studying ![]()
I assure you all of them work well when you study.
Cheers
Yeah, if you do not enjoy learning how to fly advanced airplanes, maybe it’s better not to buy them.
I find it very enjoyable and rewarding, and a lot more fun, this is why I buy these aircraft, and I also pay the premium for it.
There are enough airplanes in the store that are not advanced, and you can have fun with those. I do not see why you would spend a premium on a very good plane, and then dumb it down for something that would normally cost only half?
Never thought I’d EVER say this, but have you considered Captainsim?
They’re literally reskinned default planes. So will be simpler than the study level examples.
For me it’s not so much the amount of learning that goes into ‘mastering’ study level planes. It’s the (perceived?) fact that they tend to be much harder on performance.
As an example, the Fokker F28 is practically unflyable unless I drastically reduce my graphics options, as it absolutely tanks my FPS. It’s a shame, really, because it’s an awesome model.
I’ve very concerned the same will be true of BlueBird’s upcoming 757 release. I am anxiously awaiting this one, but I’m also scared my system might not be able to handle it.

I strongly agree with the idea that all planes should come with a trial period, after which they become disabled without a purchased license key.
Study LeveL, ha ha I get a kick every time when someone uses that term on a desktop game/sim.
