can’t start MFS

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
well i “updated” MFS via the Microsoft Store, once done i tried to start via xbox app, icon launcher, MSstore… And nothing happen. Nothing start.
I’ve reseted Msstore and Game service, without success
PC specs and/or peripheral set up of relevant:
ryzen r7 5800x
RTX3070
32gb DDR4 ram
SSD
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

I can start the sim, run the sim for almost 85% through the Miramar Challenge
then WHAM!

Ever since the update.
Before that since the day I downloaded the sim never had a single issue.
Not once . ., . .
Now I got to try to figure ■■■■ out !
I don’t need the extra challenges and chores . . .
Don’t loose too much sleep over that.
It seems to be quite prevalent lately.
The longer the flight, the more chance of CTD.
There are a lot of posts on here on it.
mainly Game-Service users report problems, or is my feelt wrong ?
It is almost like it was a year ago. Almost all have longer flights, stutters, than CTD.
I haven’t seen much from the challenges, but !!!
ah… you mean the long flights, there are still reports yes.
I was more by the application start issues … I have not realy steam user reports in mind related to that… but may be “random”.
So… no idea what can i do to simply start the application?
Even my MFS icon in the taskbar is not working, and disapear.

You should also be aware that there does seem to be quite a bit of this happening since the update, You could do a search here to see if there are any other relevant articles.

so im not the only one who can’t even start the application?
thanks you for the checklist, unfortunately it was not successful. I don’t want to reinstall the sim (again… just 5 times since i bought it, every time at each update btw).
Note that i’ve send a ticket to the support yesterday, still no answer yet…
You most certainly are not alone.
I suspect Zendesk is quite bogged down with complaints.
Is there anything in your community folder?
If so, rename it to something like Community1, and then try, MSFS will build a new one.
i’ve removed anything inside, reboot. Not starting
Does it do anything at all?
Or click and nothing at all happens.

all the buttons for starting MFS (from MSstore, Xbox app, game icon) seems ineffective
Are all your windows update current?
Try sign out, then uninstall Xbox?
Reinstall, then sign in again.
If you are having trouble doing that here is another way.

I think something went wrong for a bunch of us since the last update .
Since the last update, and I fly almost every single day without fail I have not been able to fly longer than 4 minutes or so. . . the sim updated and that is what I experienced .
Since even during Beta testing this PC has never had a single issue as far as crashing .
Since the last update I think I got one flight that lasted 10 mins.
the rest been like 3 minutes mostly in Miramar Challenge but not exclusively
a lil upset but what can ya do . . . .
I suppose I expect these things from time to time as they’re making the sim better for all.

at every update there is something wrong for me.
Legit purchase and installation, i put 1800+€ building an hardware just for MFS, i follow every instruction by the letter.
Still i have problems others don’t. I mean i searched everywhere here and nobody have my starting problem.
I have to wait, sometimes months, before the hotfix. So every update i know i will lose time and effort. I am probably the only idiot who fear next update.

after the last update that was done yesterday, January 10, 2022. the simulator cannot be started completely. So, the simulator comes to the main menu, after which I select the departure airport, but after that it starts and the start comes to an end, but nothing happens. It’s as if the end is freezing. What should I do ? Help
