Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
This should not be considered a bug. Adjusting sim rate should be available to those who want to enjoy career mode but are unable to dedicate 4-5, or more, hours to a single flight.
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
There is no real issue with this beyond certain people being upset when it comes to other players progress when it doesn’t effect them in the slightest.
Look, some of us simply do not have the time to sit around and wait for a long flight to play out. And it would be incredibly unfair to remove the sim rate adjustment, and essentially lock what is most likely a sizable portion of the player base out from enjoying one of the major selling points for the sim itself.
I’ll be honest here, I used Bing reward points to get a month of Game Pass, for free, specifically to try out MSFS 2024. And I have really been enjoying career mode, especially after discovering the sim rate settings. Career mode convinced me, and I would really like to buy this so I can continue to enjoy career mode. However, I just do not have the time for the crazy long flights, and if all I would be able to enjoy is free flight, I might as well just reinstall MSFS 2020 and forget about 2024. If sim rate is removed from career mode, I will not buy the game.
