Unless this becomes a multiplayer section of the sim with competitive rewards, why does it bother you what people do in their sim? How does it impact your ability to play career mode or earn achievements? If someone only has a couple of hours a week to play but wants to participate in more extended missions and not lose points for skipping sections, what is the issue with them increasing the sim rate if it remains a single-player mode? I fully agree with your thought if, and ONLY IF, the career mode moves to a multiplayer, competitive format.
