I am getting a black screen in the HP Reverb 2 fairly often recently. I installed the simshaker app and sound module a few days ago, running from a usb secondary sound card. Does anybody have any ideas about how this might be causing a conflict?
Is it possible your headset could be faulty? Mine started black screening when I’d place the headset on and pull the back head strap on both screens would go black. I contacted HP yesterday and they’re sending me a replacement unit either today or tomorrow. Great service in fairness. If your issue persists I’d contact them direct.
Just for giggles. Turn the volume down on the headphones or remove them entirely and use some other headphones. On my index the root cause of sudden blank screen was to much volume over loading the circuits I guess. Since turning the volume down I see much less interruption although not completely eliminated. Maybe it might work for you.

Thanks, I thought it might be something with too much power or conflict with the sound but my headset audio is turned off. I listen to the audio through desktop monitors. I don’t use headphones either. I need to try some other options but I have just been flying using the monitor and it works really well, I don’t have to spend so much time messing with VR problems and settings.
Yeah, my last thing to try is a usb c to usb a adapter, I heard that sometimes works. Then I’ll call HP. Thanks!
