SimWorks Studios announced development of Kodiak 100

Some tips folks,

Until you get the hang of this bird I recommend you fly it empty with 50% fuel. The flight modeling is realistic, I fly a Kodiak and I helped SWS with it. As with any powerful single engines, and this has 750shp, it pulls hard to left on take off. Put in some right rudder trim and push the power up slowly.

For a flaps 20 take off, rotate at 60kts at light weights and 65kts when heavy. Slowly rotate to about 10 degrees nose up. FlapS 10 take off use 70kts. Climbing through 400ft above ground nose over and accelerate, go to flaps 10 at 80-85kts, flaps up at 90-95kts, and reduce prop rpm to 2000rpm. Climb out anywhere between 100-120kts.

Flaps 30 landing, I find 75-80kts approach speed works, slowing to 60-65kts in the flare. Short field landing 70-75kts approach.

Full flap this thing stalls around 41kts.

If you really want to have fun, try a short field take off. Flaps 20, static take off (full power before brake release) at 45kts select full flap and rotate at 55kts. Comes off the ground like an elevator, or like an old Single Otter.

Have fun with her.
