Are the avionics choices remembered between flights for anyone else? Manual says the default is GNS 530/430, but a different selection will be remembered by the aircraft. Mine always spawns with GNS 530/430.
A bug report is a bug report. If someone has taken the time to log a report, everyone would benefit from that, regardless of how the one reporting the bug got it, gifted or otherwise. I too never gave them my phone number.
I just bought this one and as soon as I start up the yellow alt light goes on and stays on and eventually power fails to the avionics. can’t see any switch setting that are wrong. Anyone else seen this or am I doing something dumb?
This is just the basic version for 2024.
Any help appreciated, btw couldn’t get much support from SWS.
Also is there any way to get off line manuals ?
Just to be clear, have you done anything more than post late on a Sunday night on their discord to get support - like open an official ticket, etc.?
I tried to post on their website a support request. All that happened is that the request just hung there when I hit the enter button and nothing further happened so it didn’t look like it accepted the request.
Not impressed so far.
I also went up on discord and put a request up there on the user support page, nothing yet.
just managed to put a support request in with sws, interesting to see how long before a response. I just bought this from marketplace, so if there is a bug it’s just arrived.
Might be a bug, but just to be sure, was the ALT light still staying on even with higher RPM?
yep, still on after a few seconds, then after a few minutes the avionics goes off. just like as if the battery ran out. my opinion, they were playing with the new failure update and left something active on the basic. submitted a report to them, we’ll see what happens. it’s a solid issue, not flyable in its current state.
Manual took a little bit of digging to find (it’s under the product page, on their website, not on the manuals page, where the manuals for their other planes are), but because I downloaded one when it was first released, I knew there was one.
I’ll save you the trouble of searching for it:
Looks like it’s not entirely up to date, though. The manual in the cockpit is a later revision.
Have you restarted the sim after you did the initial installation. Weird things like this happen sometimes on the first try after an install.
THat is oustanding, thanks for that. I wonder why they don’t put it on anual page weird.
Anyway very much appreciated, thank again.
BTW I checked the site, that is the latest manual , gasn’t changed since JUne last year.
yep did all that no change - submitted a support request. I wonder if anyione else is seeing this issue.
So it turns out that by default the alternator is switched off, to enable this you have to use master alt to turn it on then all is well. This seems a ‘feature’ of the latest release in the msfs 2024 games shop.
So hopefully this will help anyone else suffering from this feature.
I also see that the bind for the fuel pump is not a standard one, cannot see what they use for this.
Regretably, still no response direct from SWS on this after three days but was I helped on Discord by mattia.eee who has my thanks.
In the real aircraft the alternator is switched with the master switches. There is no separate alternator switch. There are however breakers in the floor.
Yep, I agree. Seems like a bug to me. Incidentally I noticed that since using that command it has stayed on ie I don’t have to do this at the start of each flight. So I do think its a bug.
