SimWorks Studios PC-12 (47 and NG)

I’m not sure I understand this:

“My PC is set up to not allow anything on the OS drive or desktop, for example.”

My admin and AV permissions don’t allow certain file types to be downloaded directly to the Desktop or C:\ drive, even if they are harmless.

I can download them to A:\ without it blocking them. This way if I need to scan something I can somewhat compartmentalise it.

Speaking of A:\ I need to put back on my floppy drive.

must have missed it, but how do you open the different panel doors on the plane?

Hi pilots!,
Maybe this question has already been answered, but I haven’t found it . Is there any news about when the Simworks Studios Pilatus PC-12 tablet will work?
Thanks!

Click on the “external lights” eye in the checklist. From the external light pov you can click on the engine cowling and on the panel under the rear part of the fuselage. You can use the drone camera to have a closer look.

Does it mean pc-12 still does not have efb? wear&tear? malfunctions? maintainance? From my perspective as xbx user I only buy full efb planes (stock failures are broken on xbox version) . It means only fs500 is go for me for now, pity…

Yes, no wear and tear or maintenance.

The devs were supposed to be doing a supplementary package for wear and tear etc but I have not heard any mention of this ‘stage 2 thing’ now for a long time. That lack of wear and tear was the main reason why I decided not to buy it.

Couldn’t say tbh if this will be done now or not.

No it does not. W&T will be a separate expansion to the PC-12 after the tablet is donr -as a maintenance intrrface is needed. The EFB is coming as a free upgrade to the base PC-12 and is currently being worked on. The goal is to have an EFB that can work on all our planes and not have any “fat”. If it is useful we add it. If it is a gimmick we don’t.

I just bought the PC-12 on the Marketplace. Ive seen earlier videos with simmers using the PMS50 GTN750. I have this GPS but how do I load it in the aircraft?

Comparing to c310r (which I currently fly) how the failures are implemented in pc-12? Generally what can goes wrong in systems in current state of the plane - considering xbox stock failures system is broken.

The engine can be damaged if you abuse it but that’s the only failure as far as I know. It does not have random failures

Hello All
I just got myself the SWS PC-12 but I can’t figure out how to turn on the tablet and therefore I also cannot choose to use the TDS GTN750XI which I have installed and normally works.
Is this tablet still not working?

I’m left confused by this as well.
According the manual you are supposed to get an option of which GPS you wish to use during installation of the aircraft. But if you bought it through the Marketplace you aren’t given any options. This needs to be ironed out.

Also for whatever reason, SWS decided to use a third party for their EFB called Syk4Sim, which must be downloaded separately from the Sky4Sim website. But if you are on Xbox it’s useless since we can’t get it on Xbox. A dummy tablet that doesn’t do anything and confuses everyone as to why it’s not working.

Exactly this. Now I want a refund for this as I bought the SWS Version thinking it would be better than the Carenado - but now with no working EFB and no ability to select my GPS it is really subpar at best. How do I ask now for a refund? From what I have seen you can’t refund stuff from Marketplace? That can’t be real right??

The Marketplace does not allow for such options from within the sim. As we have already said in our venues, you need to download and manually unzip the relevant mods from our own PC-12 product page, under “free extras”.

@TJTurner per the manual and our updates the tablet will come down the road. For now it is a placeholder for Xbox and compatible with Sky4Sim for PC.

mate, this plane has its problems but it’s leagues better than the Carenado one. take a second to breathe. yes, you can select your GPS, even if you downloaded it from the marketplace. and the EFB is coming later, you can ignore the placeholder for now. the plane runs great without it

Thanks mate! Will do so!

gotcha - thanks!

Exactly. The aircraft is great. Both of these recent complaints are operator error.

Got this through the market place yesterday for a truly bargain price.
Very pleased indeed, usual SWS quality we’ve become accustomed to. Looking forward to the avionics updates.
Sadly, can’t find anything to complain about…..
