Since SU13 and even more since SU14, the sim stutters and freezes massively when, I believe, it loads new scenery ahead of the plane. I enjoy otherwise butter smooth performance with my 4090/13990 in VR (Varjo Aero, no 2D flying).
I can replicate this in any part of the world, with and without third party add-ons, same result with a completely empty community folder, with Asobo stock planes or third party planes.
Anyone else? Might be a luxury problem for some, but it really breaks immersion

I can definitely second that on a 7800X3D / RTX 3080 system. Especially in the early approach phase.

Thank you but this is different. I have NO performance loss in terms of FPS, as I mentioned, butter smooth and same FPS as with SU12/13 but now with these really heavy stutters/freezers that I believe from scenery loading around the plane

Issue confirmed on 12900ks + 4090. It also affects the flight loading cinematics, that were perfectly smooth before.

If someone can replicate this: LOD 200, scenery loading and respective heavy stutters start at approx. 20miles. I.e. approaching KLAX at approx 19 miles out, the stutters/freezes start for around 5 seconds and once everything loaded and visible, butter smooth again. I swear it wasn’t like this before SU13/14
Is it happening in only photogrammetry areas?
Negative, happens also in rather remote areas like the Swiss Alps
Try turning off and deleting your rolling cache. I just did this and the sim is running great again. I was having stuttering and performance loss.

Yeah it’s happening no matter where I fly. Extremely noticable panning the camera.
Have you tried deleting your rolling cache and turning it off? These are exactly the issues I had. Rolling cache was turned off, but after the update to SU14 it appears that it was on by default after the update.
I just recently got a frozen 1 hour ago, with LOD 100 and 100 buliding quality low dx11 over PHNL with no 3 rd party scenery. I see there is a lot of POI around the island, maybe that is a reason? During freezing, I saw Memory usage rises at a rate of 1gb for two seconds until 64G.
I have 4090 and 13900K, i guess the LOD setting is quiet easy for my PC.

It’s always off and the issue still occurs. I had to restart the sim and lower my TLOD below 200.
With SU13 I could manage TLOD @200 without stutters.
Did you delete the cache? Mine was off too and after the update is was on and it was stuttering.
Like I said it was already off even after the update and there is nothing there to delete. Lowering the TLOD is the only solution for me to get rid of the stutters.
One day the sim runs great then the next day its a slideshow!

Looks and feels different, the freezes I’m experiencing are much less often while you have stutters every couple of seconds while panning

Yep same, my issue is nothing like that. Mine runs buttersmooth 95%+ of the time but there are little hitches at random intervals, maybe every 30-90 seconds

3 ctds after SU14. Intersting, they are 3 differents types. One normal 0xc00005, one freezing and one “ram could not be read”. 3 in different continents 3 rd ,with and without 3 rd party airport.
