Thank you all so much for your support and kind words! @StumpyFrame6, unfortunately I am not even getting such smooth framerates during normal flying with simple planes on my mid-range desktop, let alone with an A320neo. So I was quite pleased with your results.
Just today a major feature branch has been merged into the „main“ branch, so the next preview v0.6 is making very good progress.
There is still quite a lot of usability polishing to do with the new functionality, but at least the „stop“ button is (still) doing what you‘d expect a stop button should do
