This is one of my absolute favourite tools in MSFS. I am not a complex user of the utility: just basic flight recording and playback for recording video. My typical work flow is:
- Do the flight of which I want to create a video while recording with Sky Dolly
- Replay the flight with Sky Dolly while recording the screen using nVidia GeForce Experience. I find that GeForce Experience does great 3840 x 2160 screen video capture without significantly (or even noticeably!) affecting performance. I use Sky Dolly to scrub backwards and forwards in the replay and using different camera angles. I consider this one of the toughest tasks for a replay tool and I have found Sky Dolly to be pretty much bullet proof in doing this.
- Once done, I edit the video using Adobe Premiere Elements.
My flights are generally simple, as are my edited videos with no fancy commentary or elaborate edits. For this I find Sky Dolly 100% perfect. The edited 3840 x 2160 30fps videos are absolutely smooth and stable and pin sharp.
