Brief description of the issue:

When I enter slew mode by hitting the Y key, the along track directions (fore and aft; keys 8 and 2) do not work. Side to side works, as do other apparent axes such as roll and pitch, all through various keys of the numeric keyboard. But absolutely no movement fore and aft along track.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Hit Y and watch as the fore and aft slew mode does not respond to the 8 and 2 keys

Hello! Have you check the control bindings?

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

No

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Have you checked numpad lock?

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

The status of the num lock key makes no difference - on or off, the problem remains. It is interesting that the other numlock keys work in slew as intended. On the other hand, so do the 8 and 2 keys work in all other functionalities of Windows except for MSFS Slew!

I don’t use slew much at all, so this is a low priority problem for me, but I was just curious if anyone else had seen this. It appears that no one else has, since all of the other reports of slew not working seem to involve a complete inability to invoke that function at all, or are related to the status of the num lock system.

Not sure what you mean. My controls are all more or less set up in the settings area, with different configurations for different airplanes. I do little to nothing with the so called cameras, except for setting up certain views on the number pad keys to make it identical in operation to the way I set up XPlane. So no, I have never set up any “bindings” (whatever that means) for the keyboard keys - I was under the impression from reading all of the online posts describing how Slew works that those keys were already integral to MSFS, much as they were to all previous editions of the MS line of simulators.
