Welcome to the 159th flying event from Gunpilot. This flight is titled
SLIP SLIDING (And SINKING) AWAY in PNG and if you join in the flight you will quickly come to realise why.
This flight will be held in West Papua and will be an extremely challenging flight due to 3 layers of cloud, driving rain, and a strong westerly wind that will have you all crossed up on most approaches.
There will be no extra challenges as the cloud, rain and wind will be more than enough to give you clammy hands and riveluts of sweat running down your back.
Just making it from 1 airstrip to the next will, on occassions, be extremely hard to accomplish without sinking into the jungle mountainsides. Be Warned!!!.
We will be in the Cessna Grand Caravan for this flight.
