When i bought the sim from MS store it downloaded in 3 hours tile at a speed of 80 to 110 mbs.
When i had to re-install because of issues in December and now again because of the automatic deletion & redirection to the store following the update UK, downloads or at a speed of only 5mbs (11 minutes for 1 gb). This will take 28 hours.
Why are the servers for updates much slower? Is this a logistic problem ?
For a company like MS this seems prehistoric ?
Third time i have to go through this and everytime the package gets larger. Pfffffff
Seriously. I have a gigabit fiber connection yet I’m 8 hours into a re-install (somehow my installation got deleted when i tried to verify) and I still have 100gbs to go. At this rate I won’t get to play on my days off this week Painful
The time it takes to download (multiple individual file, and decompress each one before the next file is downloaded) which makes the time to download / install also very dependent on your PC’s speed, and your HD speed.
If you are running mechanical HDs, as opposed of SSDs, then its going to take significantly longer !!
