Yes, I have a Ryzen 7950X and a 5080. I have them both OCed using the ASUS solutions. I really cannot complain about the Q3 as the price is right and never thought it would work. I just get spoiled with the 2D,
The only thing that handicaps the Quest is the lack of native display port. The Quest actually has a little better PPD (25) than the Reverb G2 (22-24) and I believe the Quest has better optics, but don’t quote me on that one.. My son has a G2. For my Crystal Light I run a resolution very close to what the G2 has, but the PCL has almost double the pixels. 9.2m vs 16.6m
My dream is to one day have a Crystal Super or some other very hi res headset with a top end 6090, 7090 gpu and a 6dof chair. I can only imagine how cool that would be. lol.
But what we all really need is this!!! Ha ha!!
Very impressive. I actually did several decades of serious research in simulators and the one we had (Frasca 141) would have cost use twice the price if we had put it up on struts for motion… somehow this looks maybe more expensive!
Take a look at the videos we used in the day… you will kiss the MSFS devs on both cheeks.

Fun videos. Thanks for those. You are right though, we are spoiled rotten.
Thanks for the videos! That was awesome.
Now we are flying in hi-res vr and triple 4k monitors complaining about the lighting and clouds. lmbo!!
Yup, but it was fun. I wrote pretty much most of the code myself in C++ so I am hypnotized by looking at approaches, where we did most of the quantification.
If you have any questions my real mail is on the web site. We started with Silicon Graphics machines. Actually the first simulation we used in research ran on an Apple II! It was a marijuana study… not too good for your flying.
I mentioned above that the first sim was build around an Apple II… my mail is on the web site if you have a question. The carpenters here build a box around it and it had a black and white monitor that essentially put up line drawing of trapezoids for the approaches. It is published somewhere with a line drawing of the sim.
MSFS 2020 runs like butter!
Stable and high fps. I like it! ![]()
