Hello All - Somehow I was under the impression that MSFS, when using live weather, and I also use REX Accu Seasons, would depict a snow covered ground if you land at an airport where present conditions are such. Today, while landing at KPHL, there is no snow to be seen. Maybe this is normal and I am just into wishful thinking. Can anyone enlighten me here? Thanks!! Kevin
It’s definitely not normal… live weather, as marketed by MS/Asobo, should have snow on the ground when there’s snow on the ground. However, still very buggy.
I was just over DC and all I see is snow on the ground, even the buildings are all white (very unrealistic). Make sure you’re not using Live Weather AND Rex Weather at same time though.
I was flying around southeast Pennsylvania yesterday in MSFS. No snow on the ground. I live between Reading and Lancaster and the ground is snow covered in the real world. Perhaps this snow cover issue is beyond Asobo’s ability to fix.
I have seen snow hit and miss in areas. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to correct when loading a session.
One thing that is really bugging me is: When do the Lakes Freeze??? I have seen small icebergs form on the water but then nothing fully happens. The lakes around here in Montana 4500 foot elevation are frozen with ice fisherman fishing. When are lakes supposed to freeze in MSFS???
