So today Iberia thought MSFS was real life

A few days ago I posted a few pictures on twitter and quoted Iberia, the spanish airline, because I was using their livery. I did not hide the pictures were from MSFS and they asked me to use one of them in the ir social networks, to which I agreed, it was a great honor that they liked it.

Turns out that apparently they thought the picture was real life and not MSFS xD Says a lot about how good this platform looks! Now I don’t have the courage to tell them xd

Stunning, isn’t it? People forget how good the sim is overall.

Your story reminds me of the day back in 2007 or so when I was on Facebook. I put up a picture of Bruce Willis as my profile pic and no one noticed

Yesterday I went flying over Australia, to see the new update, and my mind was once more blown away with some of the scenery

@Hugothester - How did you capture those images? They are very nice. Congratulations on being asked to share them by the real airline. That must feel good.

Many years ago, a friend created an FSX airport for a Middle Eastern country and released it as freeware. He discovered a couple of months later that on the official website of the real airport, they used screenshots from the FSX scenery… I would imagine if the airport / scenery is created for MSFS today, the airport’s website admins or Marketing team would simply save money and stop sending photographers to grab real photos from the airport

Oh it was just a flight from LEMD to Dakar, I took it midflight with the drone

LOL, I had taken some shots at one of my local airports about 14 years ago. Some of my recent screen shots from the sim got mixed in and I was fooled.
