So you find a sweet spot

So today I’ve played with a few sim settings and I’ve found a sweet spot for performance I want to preserve for reference/backup for my PC. Whats the best way to preserve these settings in case of PC catastrophe :bomb:. Clone, saved Images, etc. USB, external SSD? Thanks

Hi there, What has saved me and well worth the money is a backup program called Macrium Reflect.
It’s our business to protect your data

If it is just the graphics settings you can copy the UserCfg.opt file in the root installation directory to a USB stick or something.

Old fashioned, but I keep notes outside of my PC & Xbox in my Apple ecosystem. These notes range from checklists, lists and various reminders to a simple spreadsheet with key settings I want to compare/recall. While not pen & paper, not far off either LOL!

Thanks Nikita, this is what I’m thinking. I’m pretty sloppy at note keeping so I was looking for a method to eliminate my sloppiness. My concerns are keeping the sim running as it is for me atm. Slicker than slick @ 4k the last few days in FF in the Honda Jet and GA aircraft. I was hoping for a complete backup of some kind, to put away for safe keeping in case I couldn’t find my way back to these current settings. Sorry, but I’m a PC dummy trying to dig my way through this sim. Thanks for the help

@TogetherSpark69 Here is an free version of the Macrium Reflect to test it out from MajorGeeks website.. Download Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - MajorGeeks

Thanks Baracus250, I just took screenshots of those and saved them. My problem is not knowing the inner workings of a PC very well. the sim files locations, control panels and their settings, and all the combinations you see. Hidden things I know nothing on how to find or restore. I rely on Windows image for PC backup weekly to an external ssd. Is this a way to safely capture all them files and settings related to the sims performance on my PC setup?. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Headed there now for a peek :+1:
