Soft Brake

Hey there.
It is not an issue…it is just something that I am wondering about…
So whenever I taxi and wanna brake, it is instant on full brake which is kinda annoying that there is no way of you know “soft braking”. I don’t have any “rudder pannels” that might solve the problem. Is there any way of having more control over the brakes without buying rudder pannels?

Thanky you guys.

I have a button set up on the joystick for brakes. I just tap the button and it seems to slow down the plane gradually. Pressing and holding will bring it to a jarring stop. Maybe it’s just my mind, but worth trying it out.

Only press the brake pedals a little?

If you use an xbox gamepad which has by default the button Y for brakes,it already has the needed sensitivity if you press it a little or full pressed down.
I do this from the start

What’s your hardware?

I’m using a Thrustmaster Airbus Captain pack. So since I use the throttle quadrant bound to the throttle axis. I now have a free slider in my sidestick which I can bound to the Brake axis. So I adjust the amount of braking using the sidestick “throttle slider” instead.

My suggestion is, if you are using a hardware with a free and available axis that you don’t use, bind the brake axis into it, so you can manually adjust the amount of braking that you want.

check if you don’t use the parking brake instead of the brakes…
