I’m pretty sure in the content manager it just states you have the sim installed, hence the 91gb, but it’s just a general message to say to check for updates you have to restart. It doesn’t mean the update will be 90 odd gb. That’s the way I read it anyway…
I have a problem with Microsoft store games download speed… it crawls I don’t know why but I’m sure it’s the same reason everyone has the problem. That’s why I use steam as much as possible
You my friend are being ripped off. I have DSL and it took 10 hours.
Hi all,
I have the same issue! Today 27/8 at 23:41 (UTC+2) in the content manager I see the patch but I can’t select it and in the description is wrote “restard to update” but nothing happed from this morning
This is a no-sense!
Can someone explain how it works?
Thanks

No it clearly states a 79. something upgrade and to relaunch to update. I think there is no drama here it just needs an official explanation is all in stead of us guessing.,
Ok, but I restarted the sim and nothing happened! If the patch is not ready why they should send this information? This is completely misleading! Is impossible to understand if you are doing something wrong or if the pck is not ready
Which kind of user experience is this?
Totally agree!

We are in the final stages of prepping the upcoming patch for release next week. The team has been actively working on addressing issues impacting download and installation issues as a priority for this patch. We appreciate all the feedback from the community and we are hard at work updating the feedback snapshot and development roadmap, which we hope to release within the next few weeks!"
I dunno. Seems pretty clearly stated that there will be a patch NEXT week. This week is just the announcement. Reading further, it also seems that the main focus of the patch is to address install issues that some are having. I guess, that needed to be their main priority. Other issues come later.
Hello,
I have the same error message, in the content manager I have the message “Relaunch the game to update” for the base content.
I relaunched the game several times but the message is still present. How do I perform this update ?
I tried through the Microsoft Store but no update available.
Is there an update or not ?
Thanking you.
Good flights.
Microsoft announced they will release the access to that update NEXT WEEK.
I get the same message, restart, nothing has happend… If the update is not ready yet, that message surly is confusing.
Can’t you read? There is no update yet. Thursday at the earliest.
Yes, I can. So, I noticed. Therefore my message.
I had the same question until I scratched my head. I think what they are referring to is all of the mandatory packages below. All of them should say Up To Date. If one of them is not Up to Date for some weird reason, then that is when you relaunch the game to update them. And yes, I first did the same thing you did with no result either.
I am trying to reinstall, already 12 hours has reached 16 percent.
Is such a thing possible?
roger that!!
No, it’s saying the core content is 79GB
There was a patch, taking it to version 1.7.14.0 and the second one is due out in the next few days.
If you press ALT+ENTER you can switch to windowed mode, and the bar at the top should tell you which version of the sim you are running. You can then ALT+ENTER again to go back into ful screen.
I am running 1.7.14.0, and it says the core content is 80.74GB
The message “relaunch the game to update” was a mistake that they made by leaving it there after the first patch - it is just a bug :¬)
It would be better if it displayed the version there, and the update version next to it.
Nowhere
Maybe the bugs are strategic.
Bug out gamers to lower the server loads.
Only the simmers take all that…
And the gamers get a second round with the DX12 on XBox release in 2025
(Sarcasm not necessarily intended)
