Solution sync problem after xbox profile change / Real clean new install when needed

Hi simpilots,

I wanna share some info about how i fixed sync problems after updating xbox profile.

After i changed my profile, name, gamertag and new primary email, msfs didnt pass the sync. I ended up, with deleting it, and all xbox related apps together with the store. Made a register cleanup, restarted my pc, installed the store back and started to install msfs. It gives a message to install certain xbox itens, reboot your pc. Then you can restart msfs, and the install will continue, after now passing sync.

Its nice with clean install also after all these updates. Så its worth running this procedure even without the xbox profile changes.

I was wondering how my purchase of Microsoft Flight Simulator from the store is tied to the gamer tag. I’d like to create a new gamertag or change my current name, so I can restart msfs fresh, with 0 miles and no progress. But do I have to buy the software again?
