If you are having problems loading your sim after the last update unplug your USB controllers and once running, plug them in one at a time.
Now that I have figured it out, I have found other posts that address this, but you have to dig for it so I am making it a titled subject. Please forgive me for being repetitive.
As soon as I updated on Thursday, I found that I could not load my simulator. No problems before that and the update went flawlessly. It would load to a point just before the world screen and just CTD.
I did the repair thing. No luck. I did the reset and it did a complete download. Wasn’t expecting that, but no change.
I did two uninstalls and new downloads (96 GBs). No change. Between those downloads, I did a Windows 10 restore (pain in the butt).
I changed my RAM. No change. While messing around, I disconnected my USB to my Saitek X-52 controller without realizing it, and it loaded up perfectly!
So, by accident I found the problem. If you have the described problem, please try disconnecting your controllers first. I hope this saves someone/s a big headache!
