[SOLVED] Panel assignments for 'Desktop Aviator' V2

Here is how I got my DestopAviator panel to work (after 3 hours of trying various settings)

For those that use desktopaviator!com Cessna Panel V2

DO NOT use Landing lights OFF or Landing Lights ON etc. because it will not work in all aircraft. The only way to get it to work universally is to use “SET [your item]” (not Toggle or anything else, just SET) It took me sometime to debug this … hope it helps the next guy.

Hi and thank you for this post.
I have pretty close issues with the Cessna Panel of Desktop Aviator…

I correctly configured each single command (magnetos, lights, pitot heat, master switch…) and those are saved…
However there are problem in some lights:
Only the landing night and strobe switches are reacting…
Not the taxi, beacon, nav and fuel pump.
Alt/Bat, master switch, pitot heat and magnetos do work… and it works all in xp11

Last question : I have a single bus for avionics… is it a way to use it for bus 1 and bus 2?? (Not every Cessna have 2 avionic buses in real life)

Thanks!

Seems like we have the same lights and single AVIONICS switch

“Last question : I have a single bus for avionics… is it a way to use it for bus 1 and bus 2?? (Not every Cessna have 2 avionic buses in real life)”
Fix is to use “Set Avionics Master” mapped to [19]

“Only the landing night and strobe switches are reacting…”

See above in red

If your lights are not working, you have them mapped wrong.

The mapping that works in ALL planes is in red circle in the above image.
Do not use Beacon Lights On/Beacon lights OFF or Taxi Lights ON/OFF

Instead you must use SET Beacon Light mapped to [7]

do this for all switches

Thank you for your solution, it works!!
Now, 2 remaining issues to fix:

  1. “Set pump” does not help for “fuel pump on/off”

  2. The 2 avionic buses to link into a single command

FUEL Issue
You need to explore!
SET ELECTRICAL FUEL PUMP 1 to [5]

AVIONICS
SET AVIONICS MASTER to [19]

Well, SET commands for lights mapped to keyboard or button not work for me well: it turns the switch ON but IMMEDIATELLY turn it OFF again. What do I miss?

Mapped to keyboard?
This thread is definitely only for a product sold by desktopaviator. com

Do not follow this for keyboard mapping.

OK. I thought I could use SET command for my custom made USB console with ON-ON switches…

That project sounds interesting. What board did you use? In your case, try mapping direct, as in the non SET option. Any pics?
