Didn’t Asobo add water and dust spray effects when flying at really low altitudes? Or is that just for PC?
The red inverted arrow in the AOA external view always remains lit no matter what the speed or altitude. What does this mean? Does it affect flight performance or behaviour?
I’ve seen some pretty wild replay footage on YT from people playing the game on PC and Xbox. How do you access full replays or replay cam angles?
Cockpit reflections are now broken. Flickering shadows and textures rather than actual reflections.
Thanks! On SX here.
Edit: Just noticed the nose wheel no longer works when trying to taxi to parking after a landing. What am I missing? It used to work fine with the rudder controls. Do I need to assign new inputs for this? Image attached. It won’t let me assign rudder left/right, as I’m LT/RT.
I can answer your first question. The new water/snow/dust effects are on Xbox, too, but they appear “behind” the aircraft. I tried it yesterday with the Super Hornet over water. The effect is there but not visible if you look towards the front or even the side of the plane in external view. Look behind and below. Not the safest way to fly below ~100 ft, though.
Oh? That’s really weird! I was under 100ft and came really close to the water then pulled up abruptly in my Hornet but nothing behind the plane. I was in external view and just panning the camera around the plane. No spray, lol.
Okay, so look behind and below? So I either need to look at the plane using the top down view in external cam or look directly behind while in cockpit cam?
Bizarre implementation, lol. I remember someone showing off the water spray effects and they were panning the camera around in external view. Probably PC then?
If you’re looking for the vortices on the wings, they’re there as well, but you need specific aerial conditions for them to appear (temperature, humidity). As for the water effect, just try to stay very low and very fast, and look behind the aircraft. It is there for sure.
Well yeah vortices are there for sure, something I’d been wanting very badly but nope - no water spray. Can you post a video or something?
Edit: never mind, I got it! You just have to be going really fast, dive a little and then pull up. There’s even a nice spray sound effect. I like it, haha. @dreampage
I thought it would trigger at lower speeds. But apparently, you have to be approaching Mach 1…
