Soooo, Is there a place where MS announces that their servers are down?

Title says it all. How come there was no announcement in the News and Announcements section?

For anything Azure related you can look here:

Azure says everything is lovely but the sim says it isn’t, so unfortunately that link doesn’t help.

EDIT: although saying that - as soon as I go back to the sim it’s working again, so the jury is out.

I just experienced the hiccup as well, but it seems to have resolved itself.

I too have been posting in Discord w/ no responses – just had a flight in A320 and couldn’t even get 10fps in the plane as well as out. Then kept being told connection was going out. Looked at the East Coast and West Coast and their pings were 300+seconds – so clearly something is going on.

Restarted and now it’s “better” so we will see.

Agree – MS/Asobo needs better communication all around, especially w/ a simple post saying there are server issues.

Hmmm.

Announcements for MSFS service outages have been spotty at best. If an outage bulletin is posted by one of the CMs you’ll find it in one of the following places:

Alternatively, if the outage is related to an Xbox component such as Authentication, you can view the Xbox Status page.

I have been pushing internally for a service status page that would automatically monitor MSFS related services, providing us with a venue to see if outages are present. Ideally, it would also have the ability to send out alerts through various channels as needed.

Fingers crossed we get something along those lines at some point.

Thanks for all the help everybody, I learned some things here.

And thank you for your work @Nyx1819 - Those are excellent ideas.

Sorry, I’m an old fogey, my kids play X-box, not me… so I am not familiar with the ways of X-Box
