Hello to all,
I’ve purchased a new desk and had to remove speakers for a while, then had everything run on monitor sound. On re-connecting the same speakers, I noticed afterwards, that all sounds have been reduced by 70-80%.
I’ve used sound mixer (green bars all stay very low, see pic), updated drivers, but can’t get the expected previous results. Where system sound of 20 used to be plenty, I now need to max out both system sound and peripheral speakers to get anything at all.
Where did I go wrong?
Thanks for helping,
Chris

Click on the Communications tab.

Then, choose “do nothing” > click apply and OK.

Yupp, had tried that too. To no avail, but many thanks!
Did you visit the sound settings in MSFS? Headphone simulation is disabled? All sliders to 100? No dedicated soundcard assignments?
Yes, maxed to 100, but it also affects all other apps, like Chrome etc… It’s a PC system problem, not MSFS, that’s relatively certain. Many thanks!
I never get more than three green bars (‘speaker’):

If you have a 5.1 surround option, make sure it is disabled.
Thanks, but it’s set to ‘stereo’. It’s really a bit mysterious…
Possibly grasping here, but: did your speakers have an optional a/c power connection that was in use before your new desk, but not being used now? Thanks. --Redeye

A/c plugged in and everything is back to normal again. Nothing a good ole reboot couldn’t fix. Duh… Thank you!
