I’ve been flying in the South Pacific islands lately. Guadalcanal, Vanuatu, Papua, Fiji, Tahiti, Tonga. The scenery is pretty good and there is not a lot of stuff causing poor framerates. I get excellent frame rates in VR when in this region. I would like to see a lot more VA activity is these areas in the coming years. We never seen much before because the scenery was so boring, I think. It’s much better now.
Great place to explore, as are the Galapagos.
Yeah, I just made an awesome VR flight from Honiara, Guadalcanal to Santa Anna Island in the Baron. I had to dodge thunderstorms the whole way. It’s summer-tropical down there right now. Thunderstorms everywhere all day. Asobo did a pretty good job on thunderstorms. In VR they can get your stress levels up so I think it is pretty realistic. If you can manage to get through a flight without a CTD and everything works right, this sim is pretty cool. Havent been to the Galapagos yet, I’ll have to check that out.
