It’s apparently a man made salt pond for some industrial application? Looks like there is a big restoration project in the works in that area to bring back native wetlands. I’m not sure why the islands are shaped like that, but if you look up these locations on Bing Maps or Google Maps it’s interesting to see what’s going on there, or what was supposed to be going on there if there are weird AI glitches in the flight simulator scenery.
