I have 3 tablets that I use to display PFDs and Ecam via Spacedesk. I noticed that this device is very greedy in FPS. If I replace the tablets with small 7" or 10" monitors connected via HDMI, will the loss of FPS be less important?
It doesn’t matter the device, or the connection. The issue is with the sim itself. As soon as you pop out a display the FPS loss occurs.
I have 2 15.6" touch screen WIMAXIT HDMI panels that I use for the PFD/MFD and other instruments with Air Manager.
As soon as I pop out a panel from the sim I lose FPS.
I actually just installed Space Desk as I picked up another iPAD for more instruments so will be adding that into the mix, but no the FPS loss will be felt regardless of what you use.
Thank you for saving me some money. I suspected it because by relocating instruments on a single screen I also had a loss of FPS, maybe less important but still noticeable. FS2020 is really not designed for the home-cockpit, and I’m starting to believe that we’re not ready to see multi-screen anytime soon…
