Bummer. I wasn’t sure if say a Dell keyboard and a different brand can have different bindings as joystick, lever control, and other peripherals can all be bound to same controls despite being separate devices.
There are ways to make one of ones keyboards be seen as a special peripheral with no predetermined unicode associations so one can assign rarely used symbols to the keys?
Do they have wireless keyboards?
Do they have a way to label keys customly?
Know where company is from?
I don’t see any wireless ones, but they do have some with customisable key tops like this one: Amazon.com
They have an Amazon store where you can see what they offer. I’m sure they’re made in China but appear to ship from the US, because it says if I buy today it’ll arrive tomorrow.
The software used to customize them isn’t the most straightforward I’ve ever used, but it works fine once you figure it out.
The hardware quality is good.
I use Razer devices: Blackwidow V4-X keyboard, an older Blackwidow Chroma keyboard, a Tartarus V2 keypad, and Naga Left Handed Edition mouse. The V4-X keyboard is on my left desk, the Chroma one is on the right, and the Tartarus keypad is more in front of me. I fly using the left keyboard and the keypad for radio and other switches on the instrument panel in the cockpit while the right keyboard is for overhead panels in planes with the panels.
Razer Synapse allows total control over any key on any keyboard or keypad.
All the keys are mechanical with healthy clicking noises that sound oh so nerdy!
Razer stuff isn’t cheap but but by all the gods they’re reliable - the Chroma keyboard is from 2010 or so. The Naga Left Handed Edition I’m using now is only 2 years old but it replaced one that was over 10 years old - I bought it in 2013.

I ordered a “Stream Deck Scissor Keys” version of their device. They claim the press is just like a laptop keyboard.
Oh nice! I did not know there was such a thing. Is it the 15 key or XL one?
Next stop: Grab this plugin (this is what I use):
https://flightsim.to/file/3178/flight-tracker-streamdeck-plugin
…and check out the specific aircraft profiles available on fs.to here: https://flightsim.to/others/stream-deck//
There is also this tool which I have not used but looks good: https://flightsim.to/file/35298/pilot-s-deck-a-streamdeck-plugin
I ordered 15 key version. Don’t know if larger versions have that option.
