Speed Diff - Longitude and Airliners

I was taking a flight in my Longitude from Las Vegas to San Francisco and happened to fly around several commercial airliners that were going much slower than I was - note the attached LNM screen shot. Of course I like to fly fast (who doesn’t when you’re flying IFR) but wow - do jets normally fly so much slower when cruising? They all show IAS 135 and GS 237 which to me is slow, at least compared to me at the top blasting right past them. Is this just the way commercial airliners are set up to fly in our world, or does a jet like the Longitude fly slower IRL?

I’m assuming this is AI Traffic and not traffic on say the VATSIM network or Multiplayer?

If so, I would say it’s just an AI traffic limitation / bug and believe it’s known (have to search through the forms but believe there was something with altitude and speed).

If you look up those flight numbers on FlightAware you will see their filed speeds are much higher, and the cruise speed (ground) of a 737 is around 800KM/h or 432KTS.

Yes this was AI traffic. I didn’t think to look up the corresponding record online to see what it was doing. Your explanation makes sense - thanks for answering!
