SR22 rpm issues

Since SU 14, the new SR 22 seems to have issues with rpm. There is a warning flashing at normal sppeds. What is the problem and how to resolve?

Probably means you have a Performance or Engine Mod/Add-On installed. Recommend you clear your Community folder.

The 22T is hard governed to 2500 RPM. It will spin up to 2500 around 30 pct power. If you’re seeing more than that, you’ve got an add-on conflicting.

Is it normal to see 980 rpm when throttle is idle in the SR22?

Depends are you at full mixture?

If so yes, lean to best RPM on the ground and then adjust power to get s near as you can to 1000rpm.

Usually a little higher like 1070

Thank you.
Mixture was lean on ground. What is annoying is that the SR22 starts rolling while power is idle. Only brakes can slow it down!

Just about every airplane will roll on the ground with power at idle. Nice added feature!

I would disagree with your statement.
I flew the SR22 in real life for more than 20hrs, with different load configurations, it always needs some power to start rolling.

Was researching the idle rpm for the Cirrus since the update. Glad to see I’m not the only one with the high idle issue. It idles at 976 rpm with the throttle pulled all the way back for me. Mixture position is irrelevant on the ground (in the sim anyways). It really should idle at 600 rpm though some owners like 700 rpm. And no, the airplane should not move on its own at idle power as that is not typical nor desired with piston powered aircraft. I’m speaking as an aircraft pilot and mechanic. Hopefully it’ll get addressed in the next update though it’s disappointing with all the engine work they did recently.

I agree with your assessment and I’m seeing the same thing. Lowest idle I get is 8% power and 975 RPM. It should definably idle lower than that. At idle power the plane would most likely not move, however, the SR22T G6 should be set to 1000 RPM after the engine is started and at that RPM the plane usually moves.
