St. Louis Arch buried inside a building when photogrammetry is turned off

Hi everyone! I was flying around downtown St. Louis today and noticed the Arch is missing! I have Bing mapping turned on and other buildings appear, such as the Edwards Jones Dome, but the arch is not there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Might need some tweaking

It used to be there:

Did this happen after the Japan update?

God, that’s a great shot of the arch.

Yea I was going to say the same as @skiptalbot.
It was definitely there prepatch. I’ll check again tomorrow since all my recent flights there were low ceiling/vis approaches into KSTL.

Look his screenshot again. The photogrammetry is disabled. So, of course the arch won’t be there.

It was there before the very latest patch. I was just using the camera drone to find my place tonight and saw a 2001 Space Odyssey style monolith off in the distance :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ahhh… I think the sim disabled photogrammetry saying my data stream was weak. But I turned it back on. Well maybe it didn’t render in properly under that scenario?

I’ll look at it again tomorrow

I thought it was a hand modeled landmark and would appear regardless of photogrammetry? Maybe not.

More importantly, can you fly under the arch?

Yup! You can and I did. That was my sunset shot that I took. I wish now that I had taken the shot without the gauges.

Property prices have gone throught the roof. They even had to convert the arch into housing.

In alpha, it was a very tall, very narrow skyscraper as I remember!

I have no idea what happened. Could be that when FS decided that my data stream was weak and disabled Bing mapping data (which I think also disables photogrammetry), that even though I changed it back that it didn’t render out for some reason under that scenario.

This morning it’s back!

Likely something like that.

Fixed as of Sim Update 11.
