i totally agree with you. it should be an option what we can set to on or off.
Hi All
Totally agree would be a nice option but for now what I do is use Little Nav Map and the aircraft trail option … this tracks your aircraft path and you can see which stand you parked up at last flight and then plan a new flight from the same spot
Hope this helps
YES, I agree with Ex… LNM is the way to go. It remembers your last location and makes it real easy to pick your last parking spot for cold and dark startups. I use it for every flight.
Thanks for the tip. i will use it. but it would be nicee, to have it as default in the msfs 2020.
Yepper agree with that too… I tried the save flight feature but that hasnt worked since the invention of this sim… Although I have not tried it again in a long time.
As much as it infuriates me to the core … yea, just get an add on.
I have fought sim add on fixes with the fiery heat of a thousand thousand suns of the brightest star in the universe on a planet of liquid diamond since it was DOS based and now … now, just find out what everyone else is using to fix it and get that.
Thinking about it, the pilot would probably need to end the flight in a formal manner, with a shut down or a new facility, so as to prompt a “save-location” function.
Otherwise, for example, if you were to crash into a runway, it would save that as the final position and you’d potentially end up starting on that runway for the following flight.
Maybe not as straightforward as i first thought, but still doable.
Yes, this is something I have wanted them to implement. If I shut down my aircraft in a parking spot I would like that spot to be a default departure choice from the world map.
A small but helpful feature on the world map page is that the top item in the search history on the departure side is the last airport where you landed. (Even when not searched for or added to a flight-plan.) So the sim already saved the last airport; if only that top item could contain information about where I shut down the engine off as well, and default to that position when selected…
Adding the (closest) shutdown spawn point to that history list would be a small but helpful improvement, without adding a full “fleet management” feature.
I agree. I use OnAir and want to pick up where I left off last time. Instead, I have to reload and try and remember the last parking spot.
Hi
I refer to my last post re using LNM but agree it must be possible in game.
I remember Air Hauler on FSX …it had the option to launch FSX and position you at your last point after a successful flight (job) ….if I remember Slopeys (dev AH) comments or from their forum that option doesn’t work in msfs2020 because of SDK limitations…shame because that would be ideal for me at least, but for now I use as I say LNM flight track and just pick up from where I left off planning my next flight from the last parking point.
Where Are My Aircraft by Lorby provides the best solution for picking up where you left. Still in beta really for FS2020 though. Encourage the man himself to continue with it.

Hi
Thanks for heads up, will take a look, I used his camera position tool in FSX and it was excellent, so worth a visit.
history currently only list the last airport I departed from. it will be great if History can also include the last airport I landed in so I can easily create the next leg of my flight when I next launch the sim.

Still need a way to save a flight reliably. Need a way to pickup where we leave off. That would be “as real as it gets”
Absolutely. Now when there are proper complex aircraft like A310 and DC3, this is even more important than ever.
I appreciate in “another sim I fly” some of the payware aircraft offer this option and I use it frequently, especially for airliners. This would be a nice QOL feature to have for MSFS by far.
I would like to fly the ame aircraft around the world with it aging as it puts on mile… i’e:|
What I’d like to do is something like this:
Day 1 - fly from airport A to airport B, save
Day 2 - load the saved game, pick the next destination (C), fly there, save
Day 3 - load the saved game, pick the next destination (D), fly there, save
Is this possible to add to the sim. My AC of choice is the Fenix A320.,
Thx:)
I recently saved a flight a couple of days ago and to my surprise, it actually saved that flight. However my excitement was short lived, as the menu bar wouldn’t display. No big deal I thought, I hardly ever use it and if I need to I’ll just use short cut keys for those. Well, the short cut keys didn’t work and when flying the AP wouldn’t work either. This was in the 414 add on aircraft, I didn’t bother to check any default aircraft.
Is il possible to add a dédicated function in the map menu, to be able to go back exactly where we let our plane at the end of the previous flight. back to the parking, Cold and Dark mode.
Or if this function exist, how it’s work plz ?
Thanks
