Start flight without walkaround (MSFS2024)

Hmm, I’d disagree. The very thing that makes a simulator a fantastic training tool is that it’s a 100% controlled environment in a way that a real airplane cannot be. Certainly controlled failures have their place, and random failures can be fun when you want them, but the ability to have a 100% reliable aircraft when you want it and not have to deal with this stuff is valuable. It may be you want to go shoot 5 dme arcs in a row, or get going and do some work with a Vatsim controller while they’re still on etc. In level D sims, we’ll often start crews on the runway, engines running, with the statement “checklists are done, when you’re ready give me a config check and take off. Straight out, climb to 5,000ft, cleared for takeoff.” to practice / eval V1 cuts, rejects etc. We KNOW there’s nothing else wrong with the plane in these scenarios, because we don’t want to be bothered with it.

So yeah, the options for failures or wear would be fun as long as they remain options, and the option also exists to just start in the cockpit with a good airplane and no need to mess around with that stuff.
