Each time I start the sim it goes through the settings screens. How can I stop this happening. I see that this has happened about one year ago. Has this affected anyone else at this time .
What are the permissions on the MSFS files set for?
Which files are you referring to. Do you mean “run as administrator”
Thanks for your help. I have just checked and I have the same permissions as your screenshot. This odd start up appears to be random as when I start MSFS now it is normal. My problem now is with the weather which when switched to REAL WEATHER I get clear blue skies. I think this is a common problem as I see on the forums that many others have reported the same. I also have set to start as adminstrator.

No, I have never been in a multiplayer session. I think I have cured the problem. I am using developer mode and somehow I had inadvertantly unticked “Volumetric Clouds” That was in the drop down menu. What fooled me was that in the settings menu I have “Volumetric Clouds” set to high not realising that was cancelled out with the drop down menu. I have also made the .exe file Administrator.
