Please note: not water runways, but actual parking to start cold and dark.
Yes, you can start at land, and roll into the water, but that doesn’t count. And yes, start anywhere is a requested feature.
Some mentioned that there are indeed a few airports with water parking docks.
If you know any, please share them. I’d appreciate it. Or is there a list already? Didn’t find any.

Tons of SPBs in Alaska and they all have water parking.

Spawned on the water runway, and looked around. Nothing. The scenery looks butchered in parts. World Updates all installed.
You are right. I use an addon for Vancouver. I didn’t thoroughly read your first post.
I switched off all addon airports and looked at the stock water runways as imported in Little Navmap. It really seems that there are no water runways with parking spots.
This explains why others also report to see SPBs near big cities, seemingly in the vicinity of larger airports.
