Startup time getting slower

A few patches ago they improved the time it takes to startup the sim.
I noticed the difference when they introduced that but it was never what you would call quick. I am running from a fast 500GB NVME SSD drive with 240GB free space.

Over the past few weeks it has gradually got slower and slower to load again.
It was taking about 2 minutes 30 secs to load, timed from clicking on the Fly button to the plane ready at the end of the runway.

It’s now taking over 5 minutes.

I don’t have any addons apart from the London city airport and the west wycombe airstrip, downloaded from the marketplace.

Thinking it might be those I uninstalled them and restarted PC and sim but it’s still taking over 5 minutes from clicking fly.

I’ve cleaned up any temp/rubbish files, trimmed the drive etc…
But seems to be getting slower each day.
I’ve also benchmarked the drive but that gives me the same results as it did on day 1 of installing it.

At this rate by Christmas it will take me 30 mins to get on the runway

Anyone else seeing their load times getting slower?

me2, however i thought it is caused by my growing freeware collection inside /Community/ - 44GB already :innocent:

Well that may cause slowdowns, I don’t know for sure as I haven’t got anything in the community folder and have never had anything there, it can’t be the cause of my increased startup times.

I have this problem since this morning.
Yesterday no problem, I flew all day, and this morning wanting to launch it, it has remained frozen on the start page before checking for updates for 35min now.
he turns in the void

I am waiting to see how long it will take but after an hour I will stop…

ps: my community folder is empty

maybe during start-up some online connectivity is checked, not only scanning drives, and since imho Microsobo has some bandwith probs which we can see every 14 days on downloads as well as server connections, wheather, live traffic etc.
this could explain temp probs like these days …
